Chenzhou Dongjiang Lake & Gaoyiling 2-Day Tour

Itinerary

Day 1: Changsha → Chenzhou → Gaoyiling → Yuhou Street

Morning high-speed train from Changsha to Chenzhou (approx. 1 hour). Proceed to Gaoyiling Danxia Scenic Area (2.5 hours tour) — a pristine landform wonder with red rocks, emerald pools, Dragon Ridge Walkway, and Giant Lizard Lake. Check into hotel. Evening visit to Yuhou Street, a thousand-year-old street lit with lanterns. Taste local specialties like Qifengdu Fish Noodles and Chenzhou Roast Chicken.

Day 2: Misty Dongjiang Lake → Longjing Valley → Return

Depart at 5:30 AM to catch the world-famous Misty Dongjiang Lake (best viewing 6:00-8:00 AM) — a surreal ink-wash painting scene of fishermen casting nets through morning fog. Walk the plank road at viewing platforms 2-4, then visit Longjing Valley waterfall group. After lunch, return to Chenzhou station for the high-speed train back to Changsha.
